 About The Workshop

Clown + Poetry | 2-Day Workshop | Ages 17+ | Friday Jan 30th, 7-9pm and Saturday Jan 31st, 3-5pm

In our January workshop, “Clown + Poetry” you will understand how to use metaphors, visual poetry, and unconventional communication to express emotions that are too large for words. Poetic clowning emphasizes vulnerability, intimacy, and the “poetry of the ridicules”. It reveals the hilariously flawed but authentic human experience.

Through a series of playful exercises, games and improvisations you will be encouraged to take risks and find the poetic in your performance.

Come ready to play, laugh, and explore what it means to be unapologetically human! 

This workshop culminates by you applying your gained knowledge to create and present a short clown routine in class on Saturday.
